Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, potentially disabling, immune-mediated inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. The earlier intervention of MS results in the better prognosis. Recently there have been lots of trials to detect MS in the early stage and to treat it properly. Disease modifying agents, immune-suppressive agents, monoclonal antibodies, and combination of these agents are leading therapies. I will talk about the way to detect MS in clinically isolated patients and the marker of disease progression in MS patients. Also I will discuss the recent therapeutic methods of MS.
