Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is composed of a heterogeneous spectrum of acute immunemediated polyradiculoneuropathies. It has been thought that exposure to infections or
vaccinations influence the risk of developing GBS. Central nervous system inflammatory disease
associated with the administration of vaccines also has been reported in the literature. Here, we
describe a patient with GBS who showed a brainstem lesion after simultaneous vaccination for
influenza and hepatitis A.
